About the event
Take a pre-made clay body and customize your components: learn to create handles, spouts, lids, feet, and choose what makes it onto your final form. Add patterns and texture, raised or incised designs. Glaze is the magic touch to bring it all together before firing.
Our instructor will lead demonstrations of wheel thrown components to be added to your vessels.
Amalgam is defined as “a mixture or blend”. The final product of this class will be a blend of whatever you choose to adorn your vessel with. Expect to learn and build!
About your instructor: Jon Bashioum is a wood fire potter that was born in North Carolina and moved away shortly after. Having never seen the place where he was born, Jon took to rambling around the country and has adopted Montana as his home.
