About the event
Art 4 Survival at the Holter Museum believes all youth have a voice that desires to be heard and developed. We exist to provide a creative and safe/brave space for teens that facilitates expression through art and community. To do this, we provide free art and writing experiences within The Holter Museum education studios.
The art for survival method is a combination of curriculum, environment, and delivery that supports social emotional development.
We address the need of mental and emotional wellness in students through expression in all forms of art. Our curriculum provides a platform for verbal and non-verbal expression
Art 4 survival is consistent. We meet on a weekly basis throughout the school term in order to build relationships between participants and create a brave community of young people.
Please note: This course is meant for teens going through high school experiences. If you have a teen or pre-teen in middle school, please look at ArtFeeds – Middle School before enrolling in either program.
If you register your participant for Art for Survival and our education team feels they would fit best with ArtFeeds- Middle School, the Holter Museum will reach out to you to suggest a switch.
